筑波大学名誉教授、村上和雄博士は、「心と遺伝子研究会」を立ち上げ、心の働きが遺伝子に影響を与える事を確かめている。中でも「笑い」が眠っている遺伝子をオンに変える事が証明された。
その他にも、「愛」や「感動」などのポジティブな心の働きが眠っている遺伝子をオンに変え、｢祈り｣が遺伝子に影響を与える事を研究している。村上和雄氏と共に、ホリスティック医学の権威ディーパック・チョプラ博士、細胞生物学者ブルース・リプトン教授、祈りを含めた意識研究を科学雑誌に発表し続けているジャーナリスト、リン・マクタガート女史などが登場し、「祈り」を含めた意識研究の最先端を明らかにしていく。

回想ドラマ主演に大河ドラマ「江」の豊臣秀次役などテレビや映画などで活躍がめざましい北村有起哉が熱演!

村上和雄氏の若い頃を演じ、人間味溢れる村上和雄像となっている。その他に、
村上和雄氏の研究を助ける事になる中西教授役にドラマ「Ｊｉｎ」や「白い巨塔」などで有名な奥田達士。幼少期の村上和
雄氏に影響を与えた祖母役に文学座の重鎮、麻志那恂子が熱演。真実味のある回想ドラマが作品を盛り上げている。

「ストーンエイジ」「魂の教育」「不食の時代」に続き、人間の生き方の本質に迫る映像作品。
2008年劇場公開の作品「魂の教育」では、子ども達の成長を促進させる学習システムを構築した、右脳開発児童教育の第一人者七田眞氏を、2010年劇場公開の作品「不食の時代」では、青汁一杯で17年以上生活を続けている鍼灸師、森美智代さんを取り上げ、ユニークな『断食療法』を提唱した甲田光雄医師を、各々、描き上げ、動向を先読みしインパクトある問題提起を続けてきた。2012年、“人間の絆”がキーワードとなる時代に、「祈り」というものを、真正面から取り上げ、人間の生命のあるべき姿に迫る…。これにてドキュメンタリー＆ドラマ仕立ての作品群がついに完成!

Hello, everyone. My name is Tetsu Shiratori, the director of Japanese documentary film, *Prayer- Conversation with Something Great*.


Four years ago, in October, 2007, I was diagnosed with a brain cancer.
At that time, I was spending nights and days editing a documentary film
called *Soul Education*.

At first, I started to have a ringing in my ears. Then I was not able to
eat. By November, I lost my voice.


My regular job is a voice actor, and at that time I had several regular
animes and dubbing jobs.

Loosing my voice meant loosing my way of living.

Without my voice, my life was like a ropewalking.


By December, my tongue was bent and I lost shoulder muscles.

The tumor was found at the center of hypostatic cranial nerve, which made a surgery a difficult option. Also because no doctor at my hospital was capable of performing such a difficult operation, no treatment was to be done until I was transferred to a hospital with a specialist of that kind.

While I was hospitalized without any treatments done, I performed
self-reflection process to accept all emotions and sensations and since I
had enough time I eagerly learned alternative medicines such as Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Eastern Medicine, Image Therapy, and Spiritual Counseling.



One day I felt that a Homeopathy remedy had worked on me, so I said to my doctor, “Doc, I think I got better.” And he replied, “Your body tries to
make up for the deficit. You are absolutely not getting better.”


I was so shocked to hear that.

So then, what I did was simply to acknowledge and accept my feelings as they were.


Yeah, it was a shock, wasn’t it!

He didn’t have to say such an awful thing!

There’s nothing wrong with saying, “I got better. Or I’m cured!”


It’s always interesting that once you acknowledge and accept feelings, you calm down.

So I continued the process of facing myself, and then on the new years of
2008, I remembered about my previous work *Stone Age,* which was about curing a cancer. Well, hey, I have the very same cancer!


The film *Stone Age* was inspired by Dr. Emoto’s Hado Healing principles and was based on the true story. So I decided to receive the same Hado
counseling as the patient did in the film.


With a machine called MRA, Magnetic Resonance Analyzer, Dr. Emoto detects the dissonance on the energy level which may have not yet manifested on the physical plane.

For instance, anger causes accretion of Calcium which raises the blood
sugar level and tends to cause liver problems. Sadness, the lung.
Depression, the gallbladder. Envy, the thymus gland. Stubbornness, the anus. With MRA, the past emotional energies, the energies of consciousness are detected from your body.



During my illness, I faced many dissonances within me.

So each time I learn about the toxicity of my past emotions, I recalled
those moments and those particular emotions and let them out, completely accept and at the end apologized deeply from my heart.

Surprisingly, my voice and the muscles started to come back and by the end of February, I learned that the tumor had shrunk. I knew it was working, so I just continued the process of forgiving the past emotional energies.


There was another significant event that truly inspired me. One day in 2008, due to the disorder in the three semicircular canals, I started to collapse and crouched down on the street. I felt so defeated, to be aware of the seriousness and the impact of my illness. However, later that day, around 5pm, I felt a sudden recovery and was able to stand up and talk for a few days.

I found out later, that at that very moment, there were a collective people who were praying for me.

About 30 some preschool students and their parents who appeared in my
previous documentary film called *Soul Education* got together that day and prayed for me to get well as they folded thousand cranes. I was deeply touched.


And for the first time I felt for real that prayer could go beyond time and
space and transform the physical body.



About a year later on October 25th, 2008, with another test of MRI at Keio
University Hospital, I was diagnosed as cancer-free.



Everything starts from the energy.



What we see as a physical form is merely a manifestation of our
consciousness. Anything that is dissonant on the consciousness level causes dissonance in the physical bodies or situations whereas harmonious
consciousness creates harmonious bodies, personal relationships and
ultimately the world.



Everything starts from here, the consciousness.

Today, many scientific researches have proved that the power of prayer, our intention, goes beyond time and space and is very effective. Our
consciousness indeed influences the reality.



Humanity now faces many global crises such as energy, economic,
environmental and so forth.
If we were to connect with a prayer that transcends our personal egos, I
know we can make a huge change on this planet. Our prayer can change the world.

And so here we are with this documentary film, *Prayer - Conversation with Something Great.*
